Green Earth Performance Chip

Has anyone tried this performance chip? It's under $30.

I have not but it looks like a 9 volt battery with 2 wires sticking out. Oh yeah, they can't spell, either.

I would stay away from anything that has an image like this:

My guess is that it isn't a 9v battery. Probably just soldered the red and black wires together inside the box to make a single connection.

Or we have a flux capacitor that will enable your truck to do time travel thus cut down on greenhouse gases by speeding up ............... oh boy.

what that is is a $0.05 resistor. you wire it inline between your IAT (which we don't have with a 5.4) and the PCM. The resistor fools the PCM into thinking that it's about 40-60F outside. So it dumps alot more fuel into the mix.

truck runs rich and "makes more power"

I really wish eBay cared about its market and would ban those things.

Running rich takes away power. The leaner you get the more power you make. Usually, if you can get the air fuel ratio dialed in to the fringe of detonation, but not detonating (pinging), that would be an ideal tune, at least from what I've seen with dyno tunes.

Wait so can you have the wheels turn down to make it into a hovercraft with this mod or no? I need to know before the auction ends!

Glad you all are having fun with this one. At this point I'm convinced that one one hear has ever bought and tried one of these, or no one would ever admit to it, because at this point I'm a little embarrassed just asking the question.

Too late, I already ordered all of them. Sucks for you, especially while I'm enjoying my timetraveling-fluxcapaciting-hovercrafting-400MPG-800RWHP F150.
