UPS left a present at my door

All I can say is, Bill at PHP needs to school Ford on transmission shifting. I only have the canned tunes so far, but the trucks shifts amazing!

Thank you PHP and I look forward to getting my custom tunes and see what those do for me!

How does that thing plug in? Where are the wires? Do you have to take about the dash?

Sorry if these are stupid questions and please excuse my ignorance, i just honestly have no idea and i'm curious. I'm thinking about possibly getting one of these before the years over. I was thinking of going with the xcal3 and VMP tunes, but i really like the idea of having the tuner that i can put up on my dash with all the different display info and what not.

It plugs into the OBDII port that's below your steering wheel and above the pedals. I'm pretty sure the wire runs down the sidepanel there, no dash disassembly required.

it is crazy easy to install. comes with the pod which does not need to stick to the dash. which means it will uninstall without ever leaving a mark whenever you want.

you pop off the dash piece that faces the driver's side door, and run the wire through there. it comes up between the dash and a-pillar. the pod has an opening there for the wire to come in, and you will never be able to see it. took me under 5 min to install.

the piece if the dash you remove just pops off. try it next time you get into your truck, you will see what I mean. you don't need any tools for this one, just a couple of zip-ties

I read your post to Bill, and I've got to say that you totally made his day. We're glad you're so pleased!

My only question is: Can I steal your picture for our website?

If you think the shifting in the canned tunes is great, just wait till you get Bill's custom tunes with his improved downshifting. It is wonderful in traffic, when you need to punch it and go, instead of sit there and wait for something to happen.

From the improved shifting to the throttle responce it has just blown me away with just how much my truck has improved running on the tow tune. i've had mine 2 1/2 weeks and only drive it on the weekends because i drive a company truck during the week (gonna have to figure out a way to put one on it too!) but plan on strapping the bassboat on this weekend and do some TOWING.

I cant wait!
I have to deal with a ton of traffic out here in LA every day.

awesome ! I also just got my pod, but I bought it used, so I don't get canned tunes (different engines) so I still gotta wait for custom tunes. Even with out any performance gains, I love how it sits, looks clean.

Anyways, anyone have any idea on how long the wait is for PHP ? Just curious. Thanks
