i sold my truck a while back and now i'm trying to sell my tuner on ebay, i'm getting messages from a guy telling me it can only be unlocked by sct.. is this true? i bought it from troyer and i would've thought they could do it.

 

also, i never returned the truck to stock when i got rid of it, so the software i have is saying i cant unlock it myself because of it.

 

#1: why didn't you sell the tuner with the truck?

#2: why didn't you return it to stock before you sold it?


any sct dealer can unlock it but it will cost the poor individual who buys your locked tuner some extra and un-nessicary $$$ unfortuantly it's guys like you who give tuned vehicles a bad name/reputation.

good luck hopefully you can sell it and the individual who wants to buy it can get it unlocked
