Give it some time...

When you post something give it about 24 hours for all the regulars to cycle through and look at it. I haven't heard of a whole lot of people with Superchips tuners though. The main ones are the Edge, and Custom Tuned XCal3's and XCal2's.

I have a Superchips 1745, not a flashpaq. I have it set for 87 octane, the difference is amazing. At wot, the shift into 2nd is very, very firm, my truck really lurches forward. The throttle response is much quicker too. Definite power increase. A lot more performance all the way around. Gas mileage has improved slightly, and I track gas mileage w/ every tank.
All in all, worth the investment.

I have a Troyer Tuned XCAL2 with 3 custom tunes. 87 Oct. Performance, 87 Oct. Towing, and 93 Oct. Performance. Spring thru Fall I run the 87 Oct. towing tune since I tow my boat often. Fall - Spring I run my 87 Oct. Performance tune. I rarely run the 93 Oct. tune due to the gas prices and the fact I don't drive my truck often.

I can tell you that having my truck custom tuned is by far the best mod I have done on my truck. It's night and day from stock tune. I am reminded of this when I have to load my stock tune when I take the truck in for maintenance at the Dealership.

i have a superchips programer for my 1998 4x4 and i herd that using the 93 oct. performance setting actually saves gas (if your easy of the petal) whatcha guys think? i think its something to do with our computers taking 87 octane and making our truck run really rich for some reason...

No, it doesn't run rich with a lower octane. The reason you get better gas mileage with higher octane is because with the correct tuner, it advances the timing. You can't do this with low octane gas because your engine will start knocking. When you advance timing though, you get more power, and when you have more power it takes less effort for the engine to get the truck up to cruising speed thus using less fuel.
