mpg with an edge

mpg with an edge

i have noticed that on my trucks edge and on bored message unit they both give me different avg mpg... like the edge will be 15.1 and the message unit will be 16.4 does any one know why this is? and witch one is more accurate?

Make sure you have the correct gear ratios, and tire sizes programmed into your edge.

can't really trust any digital meter for fuel economy, if you really want to know what's accurate, do the math.

Agree with last post... use read-out as an indicator of how your fuel economy is going... but use your "gas used vs. miles driven" calculation as the botom line.

you could use "gas used vs. miles driven" to figure out which one is accurate.
