Update from Edge for CAI

Hey guys, just thought I'd share this with you. I had contacted Edge Products regarding the programming for Cold Air Intakes to see if they planned on supporting those of us with Edge Evolutions AND CAI's. Here's the response I got:

We are working on supporting CAI kits as we speak. It will soon be available through updates with the Fusion Software. Have you tried updating on the Fusion Software yet? This will send me your files. I can then add them to the list of others that need tuning for CAI kits and you will have an update available soon.

Let me know when you have updated the Evolution on Fusion.
Now I'm sure this won't be as nice as a custom tune from Bill at PHP, but it would be nice to "unlean" my truck for free in the meantime. My other concern is, what is their definition of "soon."

YAWN...My name has been on that list for at least 7 months now. I even expressed to them how I had a throttle body go bad as a result of using the edge with a CAI, their response...... UMMMM nothing.
Sorry but I'm slowly losing faith in all programmers/tuners.
And this is coming from an Edge who upgraded to Gryphon customer.

Are you having an issue with your Gryphon?

Norm,
Okay I'll give it a shot. And forgive me if i sound like a total idiot. My theory is.... because my truck was running lean, the carbon build up was enough to cause my TB to have an irratic idle, and my truck would die out, according to Ford my TB "BURNT OUT". I'm in no way a mechanic but this seems to be a fairly sound theory.

OP,
If edge ever does tune for CAI's it would be great! but they have been getting alot of peoples hopes up!

So, phat, your not happy with your custom Gryphon tunes ? Have you brought up your problems with Bill ? Tried to allow him to fix it or get a better tune for your needs ?

That may have caused your problem, maybe not. I had a throttle body fail and was replaced at 1600 miles, long before I had even heard of tuners of any kind.

thats the exact opposite of what i said.
running rich may have caused excessive carbon build up?
I'll never know for sure if that was my scenario. My truck never threw codes or DTC's. the TB just went bad??

Well "BURNT OUT" TB may have meant electronically burnt out. If i can remember right there are a few 2004 TB's that were up to no good.

Like I said, I'm concerned as to what their definition of "soon" is.

I've sent them 3 or 4 emails, and never gotten a response sooner than 3 days later.

I was told soon 7 months ago, and thump said he was told the same thing along time ago, that is in no way a good definition of "SOON".
