performance package for 08 5.4

Does anybody know of a really good place to get a performance package? I'm looking for programmer, cat back, and intake. I'm sure I could probably find one myself but I guess i'm to lazy:o I'm not quit sure which programmer to go with I for sure want to go with a custom tune. If you guys have any ideas let me know. Thanks

i've been emailing socalmotorsports.com for my intake/programmer. cat back is just too much for the budget to handle right now.

Check out Troyer Performance stage 1 package. If I remember correctly you get 3 custom tunes, AF1 CAI, and Magnaflow catback. Give them a call to get a price comparison.

As I recall, the Troyer Performance bundle package is a really good buy. The parts are chosen because they were dyno tested as being the most effective. Just make sure that the parts are compliant with your state's smog control requirements.

I'm not so sure about that. I've seen some dyno sheets that show the Roush offroad putting down better numbers than the Magnaflow. I'll try to go dig them up. I'm not sure if I've got them saved.

The AF1 will put down minimal gains over the S&B but it's not worth the added cost IMO.

On one hand you tell some one to go with a product that may or may not have better gains.

Then you say the AF1 makes minimal gains but its not worth it. I thought the whole Idea of tuning our vehicles is to make gains in performance. You seem to give an awful lot of opinions with out a whole lot of facts.

First off, I told someone to go with the Roush offroad kit because it puts down better power, it's a better quality kit, and it's a better design, too. No burnt spare tires.

Secondly, I didn't say the AF1 made minimal gains. I said that it makes minimal gains over the S&B. I always recommend the S&B because it's cheaper than the AF1, it's an enclosed design, and it's putting down nearly the same power numbers as the AF1.

Of course tuning vehicles is about gaining as much in performance as possible. However with that said there comes a time when you have to cut the cord. It's all about hp per dollar and when you reach a point when the hp per dollar rises too much and you have to make the decision to keep going or to stop.

Please feel free to give your opinion on the original post.

Thank you. I won't claim to know it all because I simply don't. I'm just trying to help people out by giving them my opinion.
