I am considering trading in my Edge for a Gryphon with economy and performance E85 tunes. Has anyone done this? How do you like the tunes?

 

I have an E85 tune for my Gryphon .... I have not used it yet though.

 

It states right on their gas order form that they can right a tune for economy but to only expect a 1/4 to 1/2 mpg increase over their performance tune. personally, i'de take the perf tune and prob get the same mileage as the economy ( maybe more). Something to think about

 

Just expect for your gas mileage to drop about 3-4 mpg with a E85 tune. It will make more power though. If you are running it all the time, only do so if you are running a flex fuel motor. If not, than it's okay to run it as a race tune for only the track. Otherwise you're asking for trouble. E85 is too caustic for the fuel system.

 

I just got my tunes for my gryphon, 87,93 &E85 performance. I have yet to run the gas tunes and am on my second tank of E-85. So far I like what Bill did. My butt dyno likes the changes and my first tank of E-85 had the same mpg as when I ran E-85 stock (which is approx 4 mpg less than 87 gas) even though I definately had my foot in it checking out the performance. The second tank I will take it easy and see what the mpg does.
