do i need a programmer or just a tune?
does anyone know if u can just get a tune for our truck or do i have to get a programmer and then talk to someone about getting a custom tune? i really dont have the cash to get a edge or gryphon. was hoping to see if i can just get a tune somewhere without the purchase of a programmer.
here is a link to what i did to my truck (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QixQM4UI3E8) i have another video on youtube heres the link to that one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vM1GQzBQZQs) let me know what you all think. has anyone done something like this before? or got tune tune for ram air?
Tucker27, you can always buy a used tuning device, Xcal2, Xcal3, Gryphoon or diablo and then only get one tune (usually less than $100 for a single tune)
or you try to find a shop that does sniper tuning that may fit your budget and needs.
either way I would do some data logging on the highway to ensure you are not running lean
there's been a couple similar projects on here over the past couple months, but I like the hood you used VS cutting the stock hood

No you cannot just get a tune without a programmer. A programmer is what stores and loads the tune to your vehicle. When you tune your vehicle, your stock tune has to go some where, and it loads onto the programmer.
not to sounds like a dumb *** but what is this sniper tuning u say? Oh and thanks about the hood i found a guy that was selling out of the local paper and and offered him $100. the thing was that i had to fix the corners of it cause they were broke off and alot of little dings in it. so i said sure i'll fix it myself and only cost no more $30. then i decided to make it functionable.
