Edge or Xcal3

I am getting ready to get a tuner with some custom tunes. I am going to go through vmp tuning. Which tuner do you guys recomend out of the edge and the xcal3. I have heard very good things from both but want a little more input/info. One thing about the edge I really like is the monitoring system so I might lean towards that. Thanks Jesse

Umm I do belive that VMP doesn't custom tune for the edge.
That would be PHP that tunes the Gryphon which is a recased Edge evo.
Either tuner is a nice add-on for power and mpg, but the edge/gryphon is a pod that stays on the dash and gives a realtime gauge display.

do you want some extra performance and gages? get Edge

or the most performance possible...and no gages? get XCal 3...or you can pony up $500 and get the XCal Livewire (holds 6 tunes and has gages like Edge does)

PHP can now tune both the Gryphon and the SCT xcal series. So your choices just got better.

Not that they were bad to begin with. I just upgraded my Edge to a Gryphon, now just waiting for the custom tunes to arrive.

This was supposed to be with the previous post but got ahead of myself.
