A/F Ratio question

So, running 10 lbs of boost, and staying steady at 11:1 A/F ration til high RPMS then dropping to about 10.9:1. Am i the only one that thinks this is low? I notice others running same setup with about 13:1. What should I do to bring it up? Thanks

You are running a little on the rich side. Ideally at WOT in the high RPMS 12.0 A/F would be good. You could pick up a littel HP if you lean it out but it was probably done as a conservative tune.

Was this a stock tune from JBA or was it dyno tuned? you could just get it retuned

First, where are you reading AFR? I'd assume it is right at the collector, but I have to ask.

Assuming you are in the collector area, on a 10# S/C setup I wouldn't go richer than 11.8-12.2 AFR for a solid street tune. You could get into the LOW 13 AFR if you really wanted to push it, but I generally wouldn't.

In any event, 11.0 is not too horrible and would certainly be a safe street tune. I've certainly seen worse.

Take care.

The tune was done on the Dyno at JBA.
I noticed that when I went back and had them re-tune it, the power was a lot more pronounced, but not sure what the A/F ration is now, the original tune was the 11:1, not sure if it was leaned out or not, as far as I know from watching them tune others, the reading was taken at the exhaust tip. I am not too concerned about it running leaner, after all that is why I had them build me my current motor, since I blew up the last when I had the STS turbo on it. :-) Just gotta blow up that wimpy stock tranny so I can replace it now.
