what is the best chip for mpg

hey everyone I just instaled a volant CAI into my 08 f150 looking for a chip also to give even more power and mpg.. Any help would be greatly accepted

These trucks do not use a chip. They require a progammer that plugs into the port and loads a new porgram into the truck's computer. Do a search using the advanced search and you will find that the Xcal 2 and 3, the Edge and the Gryphon are the most popular. With your intake, you should go with the Xcal tuned by VMP or Troyer or the Gryphon tuned by PHP.

I am also going to be putting a volant cat back exhust. So you would recommend the Gryphon?

Personally, I like the Gryphon as I want the gauges it provides. See it at www.powerhungryperformance.com. If the gauges are unimportant or you do not want a display on your dash, then I would go with the Xcal tuned by VMP. You really should get the custom tunes and install at the same time as your intake. That way, you will not run lean.

Like Blue said. My recommendation is the Xcal2 or Xcal3 from VMP Tuning.
