Tune Transmision

I was thinking of getting an X3 Tuner for my 01 4.2 5spd for a while now, but was curious of what kind of transmission your guys have, auto or stick? and the tuner you guys are using, and can you really feel the difference with a manual trans?

There will be more of a difference with an automatic since Ford tunes these automatics so "soft" because they have to tune them so that the majority of the population will like it. Not everyone likes stiff shifting. Regardless a tune for a manual vehicle will make a big difference. It was the first mod I did to my car and it made a big difference. Adding a CAI and tune made it like a whole new car. So my suggestion is to get both at the same time so the tuner can tune for the intake so you're not running lean and your A/Fs are good. I highly recommend VMPTuning.com.
