Got my tp tunes
Well i got my tunes in today and loaded the 87 perf on my truck. At first i wouldn,t to impressed but the more i drove it the better it seems to get. Is that normal? But all in all it seems to be very smooth with quick firm shifts. I will try the 93 performance in a week. So will there be a big difference between the two?
When I first loaded my 87 performance tune from vmp, it was a huge improvement. It got even better the more I drove it. Going from the 87 to the 93 performance was an improvement but not as big as going from stock. I have the 4.6, so it might show more improvement than the 5.4 since it the 5.4 has more power stock.
Well the tunes were way better than stock but compared to tha canned tunes they weren,t but they are getting better. It seems like every time i cut the truck off and get back in it and go it seems more better.

that is the computers adaptive learning

The Adaptive Learning Strategy basically learns your driving habits and makes slight adjustments in the tune for those driving habits. Regardless of being tuned or having factory tuning it will learn your driving style. So basically if you drive the **** out of the truck, it will learn it and will be fast. If you drive slow, it'll learn it and will be on the slow side. At any time you can reload your tune or disconnect your negative terminal of the battery to reset it. This clears the KAM data in the PCM which starts a fresh learning process. I hope this helps.
