whats the best CAI and Programmer combo?

whats the best CAI and Programmer combo?

i have a 2008 5.4L Screw 4x4 with 6" lift and 35" toyo mts. 3.55 gears which i know i neeed to upgrade.. but the guy at a shop said that if i got an S&B CAI with a Diable programmer that i would gain 3+ mpg and 50+ HP and torque..... now is he just tryin to make $650 or would it be that good?? thanks

AF1 intake w/ custom Troyer Performance tunes is probably the best combo available.

you really answered your own question...

AF1 has been dyno tested by Troyer to be the best


You can get good tunes from others but will want to stick with the AF1

Do you want a open or closed box design CAI? The AF1 has an exposed air filter element. The S&B is a closed box design which I prefer on a truck or suv considering their uses. Give Justin at VMPTuning.com a look as well. I had a S&B CAI and VMP 93 octane performance tune and loved it !!

yeah i guess i should get the S&B CAI since it it enclosed.. it wouldnt work to good if the filter was covered in mud... thanks for the help guys!
