JET vs Superchips

hey guys...i had a quick question.
I have a 2002 lariat 4-door with a 5.4 trition V8. I have added a few performance upgrades like a gibson exhaust and a volant CAI. BUT my question has to do with the JET performance chip that plugs into the ECU and the Superchips programmer that plugs into the plug located inside of the cab (under the steering column). I know that they do similar things but will having both of them work in conjuction or will it be detrimental to my trucks performance?
Thanks

Your better off with a hand held with a custom tune. Jet = junk

Welcome to the forum tiumarc

I don’t think you can stack chips on gas engines but I’ve heard of it done on diesels

Take a look at the Jet chip, it's price, and its capabilities. Not all that appealing when you look at even a stock SCT or EdgeEvo. And with all the technical support and tuning available for these units, it's worth a few extra bucks in the long run. If you plug in that JET and have an issue, there's no one to turn to and have it fixed. With hand-held programmers, you can have the calib. changed to match the vehicle as you add on more cool stuff, or just find your driving style has changed. The JET doesn't give the power gains it claims, and accomplishes about 30% of other programmers.

Sorry to reply to myself, but has ANYONE ever recorded a 13 RWHP gain from their exhaust? Just curious.... Jet claimes 13 RWHP from a corsa cat-back, and another 16 RWHP from their JET chip. That's a lot of crank horsepower added by just those two units....

As others are gonna state go with a custom tuner/handheld such as the XCall3.

Stay well clear of jet performance chips-I have heard nothing good from them and when I was first looking at them the sales rep whos company sold them told me to stay away from them.

Money better spent on Xcall 2, Xcall3 or edge evo or a tuner along that line
