Tuner Install Procedure Question

New to the world of tuners and wanted to know what the procedure for uploading the program should be. I have a 2005 KR Screw that I purchased used. Recently, I purchased a Banks Stinger Kit for it. This includes the Ran Air intake, Monster Dual exhaust and the Ottomind programmer with Stinger Calibration. The directions for the install are very easy however, I am wondering if I need to do anything else prior to loading the program. Since I bought the truck used, should I unplug the battery for any amount of time? Should I drive a full tank of gas afterwards to let the computer "re-learn" my driving ways? Or do i just simply plug in, load, and go on my way? Thanks for any input all and don't flame on me too much for not having a Troyer tune or an Edge.

Thats all you have to do. When the PCM is reprog. it clears all the KAM data before the reflash.
