help-

Hey guys! I plan on buying the Edge Evo on Monday and getting it installed, however is it worth the money? It seems to me that there are always problems with it and does it give that much of noticeable power and save on Gas MPG?

Thanks

Get the Gryphon from Bill, you can get custom tunes with it, and it has all the features of the Edge, but Bill can tune it.

I have the Edge and i am happy with the low end power gains and improved shifting on Level 2. I don't pay much attention to gas milage, never going to be that great regardless of what you do. I've never had any problems but my truck is stock other than the edge and from what I've learned you're going to need custom tunes if you want to run it along side your CAI, which means you'll need something like the Gryphon.

I'd go with a custom tuned Xcal2 from a reputable tuner.

Hi there,

The Evolution is a wonderful programmer if you have a stock vehicle. If you have made mods to your vehicle, you may want to go a different route. If you're looking to go with something in the Evolution-style (pod, gauges, etc.), our company provides an similar programmer called the Gryphon. Due to EPA regulations, the Evolution cannot be custom tuned. There are many reputable custom tuners that post on here. You really can't go wrong if you do your research. Good luck!

Satisfied with my Edge Evo, I use it on level 2 and corrected shift point's and speedo reading's only. I can't really see any mileage gain's, but make's driving and towing with large tires almost managable!! I like the gauges and pod also.

He asked about Edge, and right on cue, you turn it into a pissing contest, just like every time. It's getting way past old, bro.

Who pissed in your Cheerios this morning? The OP asked if it was worth the money. I never said the Edge is trash, don't waste your money. So I just told him to get a Xcal2, trying not to bash the Edge. I've got my reasons for not recommending the Edge, so why would I do so? Opinions are like *******s, everyones got them.

buy the edge-add a cai- then get driveability issues- then you can get it custom tuned

If you are wanting to get the best gains for your investment and want the features of the Edge then buy the gryphon. Bill can write you custom tunes and if you ever add other mods it like a cai/exhaust it will help the truck run better too.

Thumbs down Thanks Guys

ONLY THING I WANT TO DO IS ADD HORSEPOWER TO MY TRUCK. JUST FIGURE THE EDGE MIGHT DO THAT. IM RUNNING 35 on 18 inch rims and its Gut less. But if the Edge has that many problems and won't add power for 400 dollars its not worth it.
