Reprograming A Blue Superchips

JUST WON A BID ON A STORAGE UNIT AND FOUND A BLUE SUPERCHIPS CODE CUX2 R9. CAN YOU REPROGRAM THIS CHIPS AND IF SO WHAT CAN/CAN'T DO WITH THIS ITEM. I OWN A 2001 SUPERCREW 5.4 MOTOR WITH 3.55 GEAR RATIO,WILL THIS WORK IN MY TRUCK IF A DEALER WHO SELLS THESE ITEM REPROGRAM IT?

Yes, Superchips can unlock the programmer for a couple of bucks. Have you hooked it up to your truck to see if it is vin locked??

i am a greenhorn on this issue ,how would i know if its vin locked and how do you unlocked and what damage could i do if i plug it in?

It won't hurt your truck just to plug it in, with out knowing it's application, you prob. can't do much, but hook it up and see if it identifies the truck, or if the last owner left it programmed to their vehicle.

Troyer should be able to help you with that. This is the piggyback version correct. I you remove the ecm and clean the contacts throughly then plug it in the truck will either start up or it won't. I know he use to sell those as I have one sitting in my tool box
