Well despite the popular demand for other products I got a Bully Dog Gas tunner for my 04 5.4. I love it! What a difference it make off the line. I would have got a custom tune but it's harder to get that stuff in Canada or into Canada. Anyway I will keep you guys posted on the long term outlook. It was also less expense than other tunners, but I think it has less features, although good enough for me.

The cost was $340CND including tax (about 300 w/o tax). It has two levels, regular and premium gas. You can adjust tire size, shift points and firmness, read DTC codes, raise speed limiter. I haven't played around too much so not sure what else it might be able to do, but it won't make me breakfast. I definately notice better response off the line, it picks up much harder than stock, beyond 3000rpm I don't notice any change. But overall it feels more alive! I haven't done any 0-60's but once the roads are better I will do some time trials.
