data loggin another vehicle

my moms wind star has been having some mysterious engine issues lately. and after about 8-10 times in the shop we can't really figure it out. can i use my x-3 locked to my truck with live link to data log her van and maybe that could reveal the issue?

I'm pretty sure you can data log any car/truck with an OBDII port. What I'm not sure of is if the other car/truck needs to be a Ford product too.

all right thanks.

so lets say i data log her van. how would i decide WHAT to data log and what to do with the information?

also im setting up to data log my truck tomorrow and Troyers directions say to select knock sensor global array. All I see is knock sensor voltage one and two. This is on load logging. Any help?
