xcal 1

have found xcal 1 for sale. but it is locked. i can buy it under $100, but how much is it gonna cost to have it unlocked and a new tune? is it worth it? or would i be better to look for another that isn't locked that will cost me more. can anyone else give a good tune without waiting 2 mos on troyer tune?

look for one unlocked, or tell him you will give him 50 bucks for it. I have seen plenty of unlocked ones for 100-125 range.

This board is over run with TP's fan club. Not a bad thing but Im glad to see a few more Tuners getting into the mix. Called competition, may help keep the prices in line!

As far as what this thread was originally started for, I suggest looking around a little more. I found an xcal2. used, un locked, and even after ordering my 3 custom tunes from VMP TUNING I came in just under 300.00. Shop around and see what happens!

I got an unlocked used xcal2 and 3 custom tunes from Troyer Performance for just under 300 as well.

The fan club just didn’t happen all by itself, it’s built on many years of satisfied customers

Im not knocking TP at all, I have heard nothing but great things about them. Such great things that after calling them the wait time was 6-8 weeks for my tunes. Compared to a week at VMP, as I havent heard any bad things about them either, and customer service is great on both VMP and Troyer. TP's been around here for several years... .... but just like almost everyone on here is QUICK to give TP support for his tunes, and advertise for him it's only fair that the satisfied customers of VMP be allowed and able to voice there opinions, as well.

If someone is asking questions about custom tunes, and the only exp. Thump has is with VMP then why would he point them in a direction and towards a tuner he has no 1st hand exp with. He has been happy with VMP, and expresses it when ever someone ask. JUST LIKE THE TROYER TUNED GUYS!
