Cool Edge EVO. Very impressed.

I ordered a used evo (the older version without the guages) off e-bay last week. I received it yesterday. I decided to take a little time out of my schedule this afternoon to install it.

After much panic when the unit didn't power up. I checked the fuses and the fuse for obdII connecter plug was blown. I install another fuse and the programming went smooth.

I go to start my truck and it sputters a bit then dies. I hit the ignition again and it fires right up.

Back out of the drive and take off. I could tell a differance immediately in throttle response. Shifting was also much improved. Unbelievable.

I ended up driving over 50 miles. Not really hammering it, maybe just a bit.
The acceleration, shifting, and power differance is really surprising to me. I always felt my truck needed a little more. This makes a huge differance. To me more than just "seat of the pants." I see now why so many people decide to tune their trucks.

Anyway I'm definately a believer in the edge. If you were kinda debating getting one, take it from me, do it.

Almost forgot. I installed level 2.

Can't wait to try level 3.

Take it easy.

Glad you like it. I have the same model (older one without the Gauges) on my 03 SCrew. I love it. If you're impressed with Lvl2, you're going to love Lvl3.

Cool

Can't wait for level 3. Just need to get through this tank of 87 octane fuel. Then 91 octane and level 3.

I'm like a kid in the candy store.

I pretty sure level 3 can run 91 and 93 octane.

I never really saw much of a diff, I ran both at the dragstrip and they both bout the same, no increase in times or speed. Never really ran a full tank through, but on 3 it picked up maybe .5mpg. I just left mine on level 2 and ran 87, but when I would run 93 on level 2 I saw a 1mpg gain over the 87.
