Maybe I should make one with my truck hitting high 4s so guys can post in those Tundra threads that there's an even quicker 5.4 SCrew in Minnesota.....
Thats what I'm saying, it is phsically impossible for a truck that size and weight to accelerate that fast, but oh please make a video, I won't tell how you did it.

Those tundra guys would go crazy, since all they are about is speed i bet half of them would turn around and buy F150s.

by the looks of it he has near ideal conditions. You guys are comparing it to a lightning in the rockies for gods sake. There are videos of comparably modded tundras doing the 0-60 in the low 5's.
I am about 400ish ft above sea level "according to the airport", it was around 40 degrees, with low humidity. If yall would like to know

Not bad, my speedometer was off 3 mph between the gauge and the Edge.

If everything is legit, dude good job.
Exactly, ive been on these boards for about 7 years now and have gone through 3 ford trucks in 8 years. I love how im on a F150 website and wanted to share, what i thought, was some cool news about an f150. and now Im getting bashed with some people saying that im lying or that Im trying to fool them My buddy has a silverado AWD SS w/ mods. Weve been talking about going to the montgomery track one wknd so we can both run. He runs in the high 13's Its just hard to find a full day when your working 2 jobs and go to college full time But hopefully we will soon, so I "and we"can see what my truck can do on some REAL times!!!!! hopefully its true and the edge is correct

I hope it is true, because his jaw will drop when his H.O. 6.0 AWD can't shake the little 5.4L. Hurry up and go mash some Tundra's so we can laugh at them.

Stock they do 0-60 in 6.7(SS), his truck jumps it in 6.1, and with those nums, he should be running low to mid 14's, so the SS won't be far ahead.

low to mid 14-should be running and what it actually runs are 2 different things- i seriously doubt we'll see a timeslip or video from a track

I've got the same feeling, but either way that is one Really Fast FX4 to have so few mods. Beats me though.

This has turned into quite a fun thread.

On the comment about the Edge a nd the Speedo being off... The speedo always reads higher than what the vehicle is actually doing. The Evo reads right from the PCM what the vehicle speed is and is therefore more accurate than the needle on the speedo. Again, this is all academic since it relies on the tire size and gears to be correct.

Anyway, thanks for the grins. Anyone up for a run to the track? LOL

Bill

Right. So its meaningless if the Evo and needle agree, if the tire size or something is off they just read wrong by the same amount...

RYAN24, if a tire size or something is programmed incorrectly that doesn't make you a liar, but it doesn't make the numbers any more real either.... I'd double check the entries in the Evo.
