No pre-installed X3 tunes for 2008 F-150's

Received an email from SCT today that there are no tunes available on the X3 for 2008 F-150's:

"The pre-loaded tunes currently do not support the 08 F150, you will need
to wait for your custom tunes from troyer.

Thanks,
MikeT"

I'm not really upset since I have custom tunes from Troyer in the works.

Has anyone been able to successfully install the canned tunes on a 2008 truck?

Joe

Are you kidding?.. You must not be if you are a Troyer customer.

But no tunes, means no tunes.

Dang! And I thought Edge was slow to get the Evo up to speed for the 2008. Glad Troyer is getting you fixed up.

Take care.

I had a Diablosport Predator for a month and a half before returning it for a refund. They kept saying an update would be out in a week...then another week...blah...blah...blah...

The update came out the day I returned it, but I was happy to return a product they wouldn't be honest about, and more importantly gave me a reason to get in line with Troyer!!!

I have an 06 F250 with the 5.4 and my new X3 doesn't recognize my PCM strategy. I called SCT support and spoke with Mike, he said that the dealer must have flashed my truck because they had not heard of the strategy I have. Mike said that he was forwarding my strategy onto the engineers at SCT so that they could put that strategy into the next tune release, but no time frame.

Did your X3 not recognize your strategy?

I believe it must not have recognized the strategy.

The X3 gave me the strategy code but read that the vehicle was recognized (if that is what you mean).

Let me state a different way. My new X3 would read the strategy so that I could send that to Troyer, but I got a vehicle not recognized when I tried to load one of the canned tunes. Is that what you are getting?

I'm sorry, what I said didn't really make sense.

Yes, it read the strategy so that I could relay the code to Mike, but the X3 does not recognize my truck. Apparently there are no tunes for the 2008 F-150's.

That's really odd because the 2008 is nearly identical to the 2007. I imagine SCT should have something together shortly. I know they have been putting a lot of effort into getting everything released for the 6.4L so that may have held up the F150 stuff.

Hopefully they'll get it done soon because when Troyer is done tuning it you'll have a big smile on your face!

Good luck.

SCT supports custom tuning for the 2008 trucks, but they have not added them for pre-loaded tunes on the 9415 and X3, probably because they have not tested them on local trucks yet.
