custom tunes the same in xcal or edge?
custom tunes the same in xcal or edge?
My question for you tuner smart folks is.....is a custom tune from someone like troyer the same in an xcal as it is in an edge? or does it matter which product you start with before the custom tunes are put in?
thanks
thanks
There will be some things the same and a lot of things close to the same, but there will be some different tweaks applied due to the different knowledge and different concepts of the guy doing the tuning.

Custom tuning for an XCal and custom tuning for an Evo are the same thing... custom tuning. Troyer tunes a file from a build sheet much the same way we do. In some cases, we may even use the same software. This does NOT mean our tuning is the same.
I'm sure Troyer has a way of tuning calibrations and certain parameters he modifies that may or may not be similar to the way we tune or the parameters we modify. There are some tables you MUST tune to achieve certain gains and I'm fairly certain that we both modify them and pretty much to the same degree based on customer feedback.
What it boils down to is that the Evo is just as tunable as the XCal. The only difference is who is doing the tuning.
Hope this helps.
