Keep an eye out for a used one on ebay, just make sure it is unlocked before you purchase. I got mine for $300, but I have seen them go for less.

I would also keep an eye out in the classifieds section here on this site.

Ill keep my eye open on ebay. I found one on craigs list goin for 250. How do i know if its unlocked or not?

Also, i had a superchip programmer on my 01 screw and it did wonders. What will the edge give me with improved mpg, fuel efficiency, and more torque?

You will have to ask the seller, unlocked meaning that it was uninstalled off their truck before they sell it. Yes to all and the edge has the ability to customize tunes.

Good info, I was going to ask 250-300 for mine when I'm ready to unload it. Been using it lately for temp read outs only to cross check my efan controllers temp probes. Pretty close actually.

Also, what are we talking about, numbers wise, with better fuel economy? Can i squeeze 4 more miles to the gallon with this thing?

No tuner will give you that. At most, you get .5 to maybe 1.00 mpg. The problem is, you start driving it more aggressively and you eat that up.

I wish! I stayed the same if not worse. From our meet last weekend RP was getting 20mpg on the Interstate for about an hour's drive. He is Troyer Tuned with a 3.5" AF1. That was on the 87 performance tune. It probably would have dropped off over a longer distance though.
