I have run the stock intake with the Edge, SIDO exhaust, for 33,000 miles with no problem.

Ive been running my my EDGE and CAI (K&N) for 10K and no issues. I guess Im one of the lucky ones. You can check my gallary and see pics of both Edge and CAI on my truck.

Again, I haven't had any problems and I love my EDGE. But, I would probably opt for Troyer Custom Tunes if I did.
I probably would too or VMP but no since of switching everything out and spending $$$ when its running really good at this time! Also already having a Edge and Custom Tuned wouldnt see a BIG differance. Now I didnt say any differance but BIG differance.

F150FX my truck in running really good with the CAI. How do I tell if it is running to lean. I don't want it to just blow up because I have been running it with a lean condition.

You should have heard my K&N FIPK with the edge...the drone was incredible, and the downshifts would cause this huge burp from the intake before it started sucking, it was baaadddd.....

Also, there was a BIG difference going from edge to custom. With Troyer's tunes, the high end power is substantial to the edge, and the transmission shifting is amazing, excellent driveability. Oh, and no more drone from the K&N, now it just roars and sound awesome, and downshifts are perfect. Couldn't be happier.

Who is a good person to contact at troyers. If I recall it takes a while for them to send it to you but it seems like it is worth it. Don't get me wrong I like my edge but I do get the drone alot.

Thats so odd how some trucks have issues with the Edge/CAI combo.

Again it must of had to do with something with the Edge you had my runs great and I had mine custom tuned from Bill and can tell a nice differance between the stock edge now on the high end power and transmission shifting from stock.

Never had it so never had to worry about it. But again If I was you having problems I probably would of done the same.

Now this is pretty funny. I always get heaps of **** for throwing out VMP's name when the OP made no mention of it. But now we've got the Troyer kids doing the same thing. So how is it any different for someone to throw out VMP's name? Too funny.

F150FX do you know how I can get in touch with bill. I would like to keep my edge, keep the CAI and get rid of the drone sound. I also don't want my truck to run lean either.

Nothing wrong with putting Justin's name out there, "kid." If i had his tunes, and liked them, i would recomend him too, just havent used his yet. If its between the edge and custom, frankly it doesn't matter just go CUSTOM!!

Lets just hope your truck isn't running too lean. Now that would be a huge bummer down the road...

I didn't mean to use "kid" as a degrading word, don't take it the wrong way. But, I agree. I'm glad you can see my common sense, some people don't.

So am I hearing this correctly? If I have a CAI(AF1) and buy the Edge w/the canned tunes, I'm going to have issues????

I hope I don't regret this whole thing. I just ordered the Edge on Sat. and I really don't want to f up my truck. I guess I need to get to reading more on the custom tuning threads. The custom tunes come via e-mail right?

As I recall, Troyer sells the Edge too and he stated that the 3" AF1 was fine with it, just never run the 3 1/2 inch with the Edge.
