VMP Tunes.

For those with VMP tunes or people that know a lot about them...

I am trying to decide between VMP and Troyer. I've heard good things about both.

One of my main things with VMP is that when you go to order on their website, you only have the choice of Performance or Gas mileage between all the octanes, whereas with Troyer I've heard you get a choice of Performance/Towing/Gas mileage. Any reason to this?

I'm leaning twords VMP because there is no wait time, but I'm highly interested in Troyer as well because of the great service they gave me when ordering my AF1, and the fact that it seems everyone who waited for their tunes is very satisfied.

Monday will be 10 weeks since I sent my sheets in...I went with Troyer because of all the WOOHOO's I saw at this site. If you cannot wait more than 10 weeks. Go VMP. The guys who have them seem so like them. SIx of one, half dozen of the other?

I contacted VMP to tune my truck, but Justin declined saying it was too modified to tune via email, and it should be dyno tuned. I think that is a good sign of integrity. He did take the time to refer me to a local tuner here, which was good customer service on his part, but that didn't work out.
As it turned out I'm working on email tuning with some one else. The longest I have waited for my original tune or updated file has been 14 hours.
I just couldn't handle ten weeks.

I'm extremely happy with Justin's tunes and his customer service. Normally he'll get back to you within hours, but there are some times when it takes a day or so. I'm on my 2nd vehicle that he's tuned with multiple tunes. I can't give him enough praise. As for your question give him a call or email him and he'll be glad to explain to you how he does tunes as far as the gas mileage, performance, etc.

In comparison to Troyer, yes you're correct, it's next to "no wait time."

But there is "..a week or so.." wait for Justin's tunes. At least that's what Justin told me when I was interested at one time.

Good luck.

Correct, the wait time is about a week. It could be even less.

Justin at VMP will help you with any tune you are interested in. If the tune you are looking for isn't on his list just put it in with your comments or equipment list and he will see it. I went with VMP over Troyer and couldn't be happier with the tunes. Like it has been said before Justin will work with you to make sure you are satisfied with you order. Go with VMP the turn around time is much shorter and the tunes run great, believe me I know and I will use them again.

Nope but he'll be able to tell you where to buy. I'd suggest hottexhaust.com if you're looking for Magnaflow exhaust systems. Justin wouldn't be buying enough of the product to get a good enough deal to pass onto the customer, IMO.

VMP does have levels of aggressiveness towards gas mileage FYI
