I won't call you names. Justin used to work for SCT, he's tuned thousands and thousands of vehicles of all types. Justin even dyno tuned my truck.

I can't stand the fact that in this forum, everyone just bows down to Troyer Perf. and keeps their head in the sand that any other tuner exists and can do the same quality work, if not better, and in a shorter time frame. I think the prices are on par, too.

I think it is good that people have choices. One size does not fit all!

One question. If you get your truck dyno tuned what happens when you go to the dealer for service and they find out someone messed with the computer? I know at least Troyer and others you can return the truck back to stock when you have to go to the dealer.

theystill use the xcal2 with which you can return it to stock.

and a dyno tune in person is always going to be better for your truck since it will be there in front of the person tuning it. even troyer will vouch for that.

Just curious as to why you went to VMP after Troyer? I am not knocking VMP by any means. I am sure they are good. I'm just curious. Me? I went with Troyer cause I am only 3 hours away and should I have any issues, I am close enough to them that I could have them fix it asap.

first off i had some warranty issues with my truck. so i had to remove the tunes and had a bunch of work done to her.flash included. also some other mods had changed in the process like a different intake. when it was time to retune i did not want to wait for complete new tunes.so i emailed jutin to have new tunes done. had them in two weeks. put them in and all i can say is wow. i am not knocking troyer at all. but i really like the way the truck reacted with vmp tunes over the troyer tunes. and in case you ask i had the troyer tunes for 6 months before having the warranty issues.i have even logged the tunes and they are dead on.

Cool! Thanks for the info. I was just wondering because you see a lot of people going from the Edge to Troyer tunes. You just don't see (or at least me) many people going from Troyer to another tuner. Glad you are happy with your tunes!
