Since I didn't get any feedback on the "other aftermarket" forum...

I noticed that ScanGage now offers some ability to program for display of horspower as you are driving. I am wondering what parameters it is reading and what is the math used to compute estimated HP?

The reason being, I have the Xcal and can datalog. I've tried to figure it out before, but couldn't. I assumed that you might be able to compute horsepower from engine parameters but didn't know which ones etc. Now I see ScanGage can do it, reading the OBDII port.

Does anyone know what parameters,and what the math is to compute HP?? I'd like to datalog and through it into a spreadsheet. Give me some idea of what is going on, even if it is an estimate.
