I'm suppose to be getting a new tuner for christmas. Now all I have to do it pick one out. I have no idea what to get. I have heard good things about the Xcal 2 and the Edge. My truck has a 4.6 and I'm running an AF1. Can I run canned tunes while I'm waiting for custom tunes? I would like to buy from Troyer since that is where I got my AF1 and was really pleased with them. Also I see people talking about sending in their sheets... just wondering what that was? and what I needed to do to get custom tunes.

 

You can do a search and do a lot of reading, but your best bet at this point would be to call Troyer and just go with what they advise.

Yes, Troyer was, and is VERY helpful.

 

Troyer sells the Edge also.

 

However the Edge cannot tune for the AF1.

But can be custom tuned, bill is doing mine now. He would already have it done but my trucks at home and need to get him some info off the Edge in the truck.

 

my brother spoke with edge today regarding his 07- per jordan with edge, the only people authorized by edge to do custom tunes on the edge and charge for it are the engineers currently emplyed by edge-fyi...

Bill is still somewhat tied to Edge. Employed? I don't know that extent.
If anyone is authorized (is authorization needed?) or competent enough to custom tune the Ford Edge its Bill! Just mho

No Problem, If you do a search you will find a post by him that explains everything. Im to lazy to try and find it myself.

 

While I am not at liberty to discuss any arrangements with Edge, I can tell you than I am not employed by them. Let's leave it at that.
