Procharger and 1715 question

Ive read multiple threads that have advised not to use a 1715 with a procharger. I know it will NOT work on the 91 octane tunes but what about the 87 tune?
The only thing im using my 1715 micro tuner for is to improve shift points and firmness on the 87 octane tune.

I'm about to install a procharger on this 99 4.6l.. with the FMU etc.

Does the 87 octane tune screw with the engine tuning that much?
I only want my shift points and firmness adjusted compared to stock.

When I want to step up and change my injectors, MAF etc I will invest in the pro tuner package to do my own custom tuning.

Should I just restore it back to stock and live with mushy shifting for now when I put the SC on? Or can I leave it on the lowest setting to firm everything up?

Cant be any worse then the Big stuff 3, FAST, Electromotive, MS and such I tune at the local chassis dyno.
If it wasn't my daily driver id run the same ECU (A Megasquirt II! I run on my other street vehicle - 114mm turbo'd dart.
I dont want to turn my truck into a race car. Its just so gutless it cant keep speed on small hills on the highway, Ford never should have put a 4.6L in a 4x4 Supercab.
