do i have to download any upgrade files or anything to the edge when i get it?

 

absolutely. Bill has been doing a lot of work recently to fix some of the bugs, it would be in your best interest to download the latest files for your Edge.

 

I have an 05 and have had the Edge well over a year. Never upgraded. I don't want to try and fix something that isn't broken. Most of the stuff Bill has been doing affects later years. If it were me, I would load it as is and play with it. If you don't have any problems such as the shudder or the torque converter "seeking", I would not upgrade. You can always return to stock and upgrade it later. Different people think differently. That is the caustious route to me.
