well im set to have the edge in later today. i wanted to try level 3 right away for power increase but still have half a tank of 87 octane. just wondering which level i could run on at least for a little. do you think i can just add half a tank of 93 octane and run it? or will that be bad?

 

That would be bad. Just run level 2 till you can get most of a tank of 93. That way, you will be able to compare the difference. Just go ahead and use the same settings for everything except the timing. Be sure and bump the timing when you go to level 3 as it is programmed for 91.

 

ok cool ill just run level 2 for now. any custom settings i should change?i have 6in lift with 35's. so i guess ill just change tire size. anything else?

why would i need to change the gears? i have factory gears

 

I like firmer shifts. Do an advanced search on "Edge Settings" and you should get lots of guys settings. You want to be sure and check to see what gears your unit defaults to and change the ratio if yours are different.

Been so long since I set mine I think I have the following:

Shift Pressure 1-2= +12 2-3= =12 3-4= +9
Shift Points 1-2=5250 2-3=5250 3-4=4800
Max RPMs 5650
Max speed 110

then when I go to level 3, same as above, and:
Timing +1.0 or +1.5
WOT Fuel +1.5

Oh, and I bump the idle up to 700 to 800.
