I am wondering about everyone that has a Edge and has had the Tranny Shudder. My question is how many miles were on the truck when you installed the Edge and how many miles when the Tranny started to shudder? I know use the search but this is easier than trying to weed through hundreds of threads for a specific answer.

 

The people who had the tranny shudder happen right away on level 3. But bill had a fix for it iirc.

 

I got mine with about 10 000kms on my truck. The shutter started right away. Waiting for Bill to get back to town so I can get some help.

 

FYI: Calibration 28 fixed the shudder on level 3.

 

Bill has fixed this issue. You need to download the lastest firmware flash for your Edge and update it if you havnt. I guess its the one that silverfish said Calibration 28.

I think Bill is out of town for 2 weeks so if it continues after that contact him.

Thanks for the info. I am in the market for a tuner and I like the Edge for the gauges and such but was kind of scared about the Tranny Shudder. Now that is fixed it is time to buy one.

 

I have 50k miles on my 04'. Been running my Edge for almost 2 weeks with no problems on any level. Bill's update was the first thing I did.

 

I dont think that the problem is fixed. I updated and ran the latest and still had an issue. I am also waiting on Bill to post again, i have a couple of questions for him. I ran the edge in my 04 scab 4.6, on level 3 and never had an issue. When i bought my 07 screw 5.4, i did all the updates that Edge told me to do and the truck has never acted right in level 3. It does run fine on level 1 & 2. I dont know if it's even a tranny shudder. It feels to me like its misfiring or droping a cylinder.

 

Top did you use the stable or beta versions of the updates? My edge wouldn't let me do any custom changes other than tires size rev limiter and governor. I spent about 4-5 hours with Bill one sunday and he confirmed everything and got with the guys at edge and they did a update and I uploaded the latest beta version since then no issues and it runs like a scalded Dawg.

 

transam396, i believe i updated to the beta version of calibration 28. And i still had the issue. so i returned it to level 1. i will stay on level one until i hear of a definate fix.

 

I did the "unstable" updates. That is what bill says to do, he knows more about it than I do, so....haven't had any issues either. Give them a try. you can always go back to the BETA versions.

 

BTW thats a nice ride toprat! I like that shelby hood scoop and the racing stripes. Did they both come stock like that or have them both added yourself?
