On the edge evo it has the three tunes. On level 2 and 3 do you have to run 93 octane? Or can you run them on regular unleaded? On the livewire does it come with canned tunes? And if you get troyer to custom it, do you lose the canned tunes and he just replaces them?

 

Edge says to run 91 octane on level3, but you can run 87 on levels 1 and 2. Of course, the higher octane fuel will yield better performance on any level. I think on the Livewire, you can get custom tunes and keep the canned tunes too. Not 100% sure though.

 

Does anyone have the prices, or the best place to purchase these tuners from. If I get a SCT livewire from somewhere, can I send it to troyer to get it tuned? And how exactly does the tuning work? Do you just tell him exactly what you have and they do it?

 

If you get the Livewire, it would be best to buy it from Troyer or VMP Tuning. You get a "package" price on the tuner and custom tunes. They will send you the unit, you use it to read your trucks HEX code and then e-mail your hex code back to them, they e-mail you custom tunes. @$600.

 

My buddy has a SCT unit from velocity mustang performance that he absolutely loves..puts out alot of power too and he got the codes from velocity
