Question Edge Reflash PCM to Stock?

I'm having some problems with my truck, im getting codes p2106 and im getting limited power... i put a new tps and i was told i should update the PCM to a newer calibration. I was hearing that if you call edge they can give you and seed code or something like that, and it will reflash your truck without going to the dealer and paying $120 for something take could take me 15 seconds. Will edge give me this code to do so or do i have to take a trip to the stealership

Thanks!

What you need to do is return your truck to stock, Then take it in for that update - Ford needs to do it.

Then, update your Edge using Lightning to grab all the latest strategies - my undestanding is they are current with this.

Then reflash to whatever level you were using.

Yeah, I hear ya, but I think only Ford can do this stock update via IDS .... at least 100% reliably ....

Currently, if we did the update you would lose the VID information. I am working on a process that will allow for updating the PCM to the latest version of the calibration but it's not going to be finished for a bit.

As Bubba put it, your best bet is to have for do it. Honestly, go to For for an oil change. Most likely, you'll leave with a reflash because it doesn't cost you anything and the tech gets paid an hour to do it.

Take care.

Bill

Or if you have a VCM and IDS/PDS just laying around.
