EEF2400 Programmer

I came accross this programmer through amazon here

It says for Mark LT... I have a 07 5.4 f150 4x4.
Will this basically work for me. I know the edge site says EEF2400 is the model that I need. I would like to get it since it is the lowest price that I have seen and I have a 100$ gift card...

I will be getting new tires after the winter months and will need this to adjust for the size...

However, with the recent increase in gas I am interested to see how much if any of an increase in MPG of gass i could get.

Any of you see an improvement? If so, what setting do you have the tuner on?

Thanks

Well after a little bit of reading, I can see how gas mpg goes.. Not much but it seems like it is a mixed review.

If anyone can let me know if that programmer is good, then let me know. Don't want to get the wrong one....

Thanks

From the Power Hungry Performance website, he has a Ford Box to HEX Conversion List that will cross reference your PCM code to make sure it is supported by the Edge units. I am sure it will but just check it to make sure before you invest the money.

Your PCM will have codes on it like mine pictured below. Is it on the passenger side firewall facing forward under four large harness plugs. You can use the 2 codes, a 4 letter code, AXY2 (the biggest text on the unit ) or the first 4 letters in the Ford P/N 6L3A. My PCM uses the Edge HEX of TEGE3E3.

Write them down and use the 'Ford Box to HEX Conversion List' above to see if your PCM code is supported. it is in excel spreadsheets and due to the amount of info on it, use SEARCH for instant results. The first coulmn is the Edge's Hex that will be reference by your PCM code. If your code is not listed, in this chart, your PCM is not yet supported by Edge.

EDIT: Actually I am not sure you really need to check if your PCM is supported since I think they all are now. Can anyone chime in on that?

Rust never sleeps, and neither do the busy little coding beavers at Ford.

Strategies keep popping out of the PCM oven - so this will always be a game of catchup.

Nature of the beast.

Thanks for all the input. I will double check to make sure. I have seen other 07 5.4 trucks with them so I am sure it is supported. I was really questioning if that model was ok. I know the model from the edge website but wasn't sure if the one from amazon that I linked was the same one.. It just appeared to be slightly different as well as the title just being for the mark LT series truck. I didn't know if the same unit was used on all the trucks but just a different map gets loaded. I just didn't want to buy it and then find out that it would not work with my XLT 07 5.4 liter 4x4.

The Mark LT is based on the F150. It has more 'pimpin'.

Well, I purchased the programmer yesterday.
When the confirmation came to me it was listed as part#EDG-15051.
I did contact the company and ask them since it was different from the edge site. They informed me that eef2400 was how it was labeled and now it is the new part number. He cross checked and said it was the same for my truck and it included everything that I was looking for.

So OTD 199.00 with free shipping and no tax, I can't complain.

Now the hard part is just waiting for it.

I am also replacing my Alpine head unit for the Clarion Max675vdII head unit. Wanted the 2din rather than the alpine 1 din.... So some early christmas for me .

In the spring after the snow, I will put on new tires, rims, bull bar, 2 in AS leveler, and KC daylighters. So it will be like a new truck...

No typo... It was listed 399.00 and I had 200$ in amazon gift cards.
So my cost was 199.00

Well I got this today and took me bout 10 min to unpack and get going in the truck.

I had it program it to level 2 right away and I have to say WOW!!!!

There is night and day difference between stock and lvl 2.

I just took it down the street and around the block. I will really notice tomorrow when I go to work.

In the little bit that I drove it, it seems that first gear shifts a little high but I will see more tomorrow once I drive it more.

I can't wait until tomorrow to drive it a bit and test it out.

Now I just need the matching paint from the dealer to come in so I can paint the pod to match the dash. Black doesn't go too well with tan.

I know a number of Irish gentlemen who would disagree quite vehemently with you. Black & Tans are quite the thing in a good Irish pub!
