We're off to SEMA!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to drop everyone a quick note on a few things.....

First - WE'RE OFF TO THE SEMA SHOW!!! - This is something that we should do every year, but frankly, get too busy many times - but this year it's a must, so we are leaving in a bit to get to the airport to catch our flight out.

For those waiting on tunes (yes, we know!!!), you'll be happy to know that a lot of you will be seeing tunes this week - we've done little else but get tunes knocked out in preparation for SEMA, and as of this moment, we're actually a day or two over 4 weeks from the time we actually got the CPW's back to us to the time we are either emailing your tunes or shipping them out. That will come as a bit of a surprise I know, but that is how many we got knocked out this past week! Now of course, this will go up a bit this week while we are at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, but as soon as we get back we'll get the rest of them done PDQ! Those of you who know the difference, we greatly appreciate your support and the posts you make regarding how well the vehicles respond after we tune them - there is no substitute for the experience we have on the F-150 platform & thanks again for your support!

While we are away, of course the shop will still be open, and will be fully staffed (well, other than Anita & I) - so you can talk with Crystal, Mike (the other Mike), Neil, Glenn, etc. as usual. Our shop hours while we are gone this next week will be 9 am to 5 pm Eastern time. And as always, if you need to reach us after hours, please just call the number listed below & leave a message for Customer Service, and our staff will cal you back as soon as we re-open!

I also wanted to say thanks to those of you who are getting your tunes updated with all the latest - ever since we made that post last week, the phones have been ringing with orders for those updates, as well as those of you taking advantage of our intake & tune specials, our Stage 4 supercharger packages, and so much more - thank you!

We also wanted to give a BIG thanks to a gentleman by the name of Ian M. - I don't know if he will see this, but he has been graciously and patiently doing some testing for us of some changes we made in our towing-oriented tunes specifically for those who tow extremely heavy loads with these F-150's. For example, Ian tows 8500+ lb with his F-150, and has been a big help in testing some things for us. He has access to various levels of long grades, etc., in our ongoing efforts to always bring you the best possible results - so a big thanks to Ian, as he has been doing a wonderful job of thorough testing. There are also others that have been helping us test of late, in addition to the testing we have been doing, to further aid in the towing of these really large loads - no, it's not going to do miracles of course, but this additional testing has led to some changes that will probably be noticed by those towing sizable loads, and we have already started sending out those changes in our towing tunes as of the past few weeks on the 2005 & newer 5.4 3V's, and just the past week or so in the 2004 5.4 3V F-150's, so thanks to everyone who has participated in this. Yes, we're just that stubborn, we never rest on our laurels, we're always doing more and more testing to bring anything that can be to bear to further improve these vehicle's capabilities without compromising durability.

Last - we also wanted to thank everyone just in general for their support - THANK YOU! This year has been absolutely incredible so far, from our Troyer Performance Roush project truck to all the other project vehicles (F-150's, F-250's, F-350's, Mustangs, and some other very interesting big-power projects) that have hit our facility, we have had the wrenches flying and the dyno working overtime like never before - and we're in our 16th year of specializing in the F-150, and have had this company for 2+ decades now - wow, what a year! And the Roush project truck is coming back in yet again for more work, so look for yet another article about that project in the near future.

All of this is possible only thru the support of our wonderful customers - you - and mere words simply aren't ever enough to thank all of you properly. You are what make Troyer Performance the special place that it is, and who allow us to do what we do - thank you!

Well, it's off to SEMA...................

Thanks everyone,

I hear ya. I've attended many a COMDEX GeekFest in their heyday, but I still managed to have fun! You can just forget about getting any sleep, is all - it's Vegas, after all!

I don't know anything about Blackjack but Mike called me yesterday to discuss my upcoming datalog session at a local chassis dyno. I need to do some pulls in order to update my tunes.

We spent a good long time on the phone. I am truly impressed by his knowledge of our trucks and pleasantly surprised to hear from him especially since I have never asked to speak with him.
