im thinking of gettin a tuner and also would like a transgo shift kit, if i get the tuner to adjust the tranny is a shift kit still a good idea or waste of money? thanks, Scott

 

The shift kit is going to probive you with overall shifting improvements. However, most tuners provide enough options to allow for some "fine tuning" of the shift parameters. I certainly wouldn't say it is wasted money.

I know on the 7.3L's, we've done tuning for modified transmissions and it just makes everything work that much better. The F150 responds just as well to shift kits and tuning.
