Edge level 1

I am going on a road trip this weekend and want to try the level 1 setting on my Edge evolution with 87 octane. I have been running the level 3 setting for about a year with 92 octane and love it. What kind of gas mileage should I expect from level 1?

All level 1 does is change your shift pattern. I go to Level 3 for all trips. level 3 provides best response on the highway at higher rpms and I get the best mpg from level 3. Enough better that it pays for the premium gas.

Well I just returned from a long road trip driving mostly highway miles.
I averaged 17.2mpg on level 3 with 92 octane.
Not bad?

I usually get about 19.2 on the highway, but conditions can vary. Keep a log and see what happens when things are different.

To me thats good! I also agree on useing LVl3. If you wanting to save money on gas I'd drop in octange and go with LVL2.

well i agree with level 3 and 93 octane i pick up about 2mpg and the level 2 with 87 octane eats gas, i am going to try 93 octane with level 2 and see if premium gets better mpg on level 2 than regular

I get 10% to 11% better mileage on level 3, which pays for the premium fuel and provides more driving "fun".
