Which part is my computer code???

ok i know its 3 letters followed by a number. I got my xcal2 today from member "smalltownspeed"(he shipped extrmely fast, very honest) and i plugged it into my truck. I got this:

Strat=ODAL1EW
DTC=P1000

now i know the computer code is only 4 characters, so would my code be DAL1???

Open ur passenger side door, front if you have a supercab or supercrew, and look on the body column normally covered by a closed truck door, should see a white sticker with this 4-character code and compare to what your xcal2 is telling you. Mine is LGA1 for example, and it is on that sticker.

Found a website that said also check under the hood, maybe something there along with the belt diagram or vacuum diagram stickers. I pulled my PCM to install a chip, but I cant remember now if my PCM itself also had a sticker on it. Worse case, your dealer should know, or if bought used from a non-Ford lot, next time you take it in, see if they would put their scanner on the OBD II port and tell you. HTH

Follow-up: Just went to SCT's website and it does show a Ford PCM with code stickers on it, so if you can get to your PCM and see a sticker, especially without removing the PCM, that should have your PCM code.

it is under and to the right of your glove box, back underneath the passenger dash. Get under there, look along your interior body wall, and look for a dull silverish box mounted to that wall. You will know you are looking at the right wall when the wall color matches your exterior paint. You can also look under your hood, on the passenger side for a big multi-wire harness going into your firewall. That is the harness going to your PCM. Look for such between your battery and the firewall. Cant miss it. Your 2002 should be virtually identical to my 2003.

Not sure what that Strat variable stands for. Might not even be related to your PCM code. I did a search for such but no returns. Does your XCal2 manual have a section on variable definitions?
