running lean

running lean

some people say with a CAI and the edge it makes your engine run lean, is that true what can i do to prevent that from happening, i honestly dont know if i am having the problem, because i am not sure what it would do if it was running lean

Yes that is what happen to me. It ran fine with the Magnaflow cat back but as soon as I put on the S&B cai it leaned out to much. My exhaust got really hot to the point were I thought my spare tire was going to catch fire. The engine compartment got a lot hotter also. Made me really nervous. Back at stock form the exhaust cooled down drasticly. I sold it and am now waiting on a custom tune.

x2. same thing happened to me. waiting on troyer tunes

the Airraid intake and AF1 3" intake both produce good power without leaning out your engine. if you plan on using the edge, i recommend one of these intakes.

the best way to find out about your A/F ratios is to get a dyno tune.
