Another happy customer: Troyer Performance
First off, the customer service was fanstastic. I only called twice during my 75 day wait and they always answered. But today I got a phone message/ email from Anita Troyer telling me they sent me a revised version of the 93 perf. tune. I still have to call her back, but from the time I installed the tunes to the time she called me, it wasn't even a full 24 hours before they fixed the mistake that I never probably would have even noticed in the first place (again, I don't know what they fixed and I still haven't ran the 93 perf so I will find out tomarrow).
And now about the ride. Well so far I've only installed the 87 perf. tune, but holy cow does the truck respond better. I will be a little honest, I thought I would be able to feel the power a little more, especially off the line. HOWEVER, when I was cruising at 30 and punched it, it did throw me back a little and the truck felt like it took off. It was also a little wet today and when it shifted into 2nd during hard accerleration, the back tires slipped a little bit
Never did that before! My truck doesn't need to search for gears and there are definitly no more dead spots in the throttle, thank god.
This to me was well worth the extra wait. I'm sure I would have been just as happy ordering from the other known tuners, but from reading past experiences I figured I would be well taken care of and givin' a quality product if I chose TP.

What kind of truck do you have? 5.4 or 4.6, ecab, reg cab, screw?
I just got mine in today on the 91 performance and was fairly disappointed as I didn't gain an inch on a Hemi that I race all the time. The only real down fall is that i went from the stock sized tire (245 75 16, 30.5 inches) to a 265 75 16 which is 31.7 inches today as well. I haven't really noticed a better driveability either. Idles better and has a nice firm shift when i am honking on'r but if I was to do it again I think I would have went with bamachips. I haven't had a chance to try anything other than 91 performance yet as I just installed it 5 hours ago and drove it 25 miles or so. Hopefully it gets better as I have a couple more drive cycles but I don't think it is worth the 14.5 weeks I did. I have a 00 5.4 ex cab

Maintenance history?
Good luck.
FWIW - I had a 2000 - my experience was totally different.

I have the complete history for the past 110,000 miles +
Gotts, I wouldn't be suprised to hear that it gets better after a week or two of driving the same tune. If I had to make an overall judgement on any of my tunes the day I loaded them it would be less positive than after a few weeks. I felt a difference right away but the overall driving characteristics got better with time for me.

Gotts after you put some miles on it you should feel it getting better. The 93 tune seems to take the longest for adaptive strategy for some reason. My truck runs great with his tunes.I can spin my 35's by just punching it from a stop. This is with 3.55LS rear.
Have you ever done a tune up,COP's,cleaned MAF sensor, front 02's new???

all done within the last 6 months along with plugs and fuel filter. I am feeling moe power but my tranny is kind of goofy. It likes to shift harder than it should when barely moving

Confer with TP to be sure, but it's doable.
I agree with the other folks - give adaptive a chance to evolve, and if it still does not shift right, call em, and then adjust as necessary.

The shifts may feel a little wierd until you get enough drive cycles on it.
Also shift firmness is a matter of opinion!Mine shifts pretty firm also but that is how i like it.on your CPW's did you have Mike do what he normally does for shift firmness??Thats what i did.
I would put several hundred miles on it and see what happens with it.If the prob persists call them and they will help ya out. They always have answered any questions i have had!!!
Good Luck!!!

I didn't want the X2 so I got the 4 bank chip. so when i take off some where on a trip or something I wont have to worry about forgetting the programmer and being stuck on a 91 tune where there is only 87 available.
Yes I marked to do the shift firmness to his recommended one. When I am just cruising out of my place here at about 20 mph it likes to shift harder than it should for just putsing around

Crap - sorry about that. Forgot.

That's ridiculous.
