A bit of help with the Xcal please

I plugged in the xcal and didn't get the pop up the I was supposed to. Any way to get the drivers installed? How do I get to the screen I need?

Who set your XCal up?

If you have a zip drive....that's the type cord to link your XCal to computer USB and do some downloading and installing.

What tunes do you have?

I have the cord that came with it. I plugged it into the computer and it said new hardware installed and ready to use. No pop up screen like the tutorial said.

I don't know man.....hopefully MGD or someone will jump in but have you checked for an SCT file in your Programs Files? Should be a Liveload file in the SCT folder which allows you to load tune files into your XCal. When you plug it into your truck what does it do? Are you trying to load tunes onto it or did it come loaded?

I was just trying to get them loaded onto the Xcal. But Im pretty sure I got them loaded just fine. How do I get my factory program saved before I put my new tunes in?

Depends on what octane tune you want to run. If it's a 91+ octane tune I would not run it with lower octane gas in or you will probably get some detonation.

It reads and saves the stock program automatically.
