Quesiton about Dyno testing>?

Not sure if this is the right area to post this so sorry if its not.

Ive been reading up on Dyno testing. Ive been searching in my area and might of found a place close by. First they charge $40.00 for the first run and $20.00 each additional run. Do these prices seem fair?

Next how do I compare all my dyno results on my truck from stock to my upgrade results?

I guess Id like to have my truck dyno tested but afterwards would want to know how each test improved from my trucks stock results. Example like the HP, Torque ect..

Any pros and cons from going to one of the dyno shops and what to look for to make sure you get accerate results?

Thanks!!

I think the price is pretty fare, most shops around here charge 75.00 for 3 pulls unless they are having a dyno day or some special.

If you have never dynoed your truck then the only way you will be able to compare your stock power numbers to your moded power numbers would be to dyno it stock and to dyno it moded. So for you this would mean having to put the truck back to stock.

If that is what you want to do then I would suggest that you contact the place where you're going to dyno and ask if they will allow you time between runs to change out parts. It has been my experience that unless you're renting the dyno most places want you to make back to back pulls.

Anyway good luck and let us know what kind of power you make. send you a PM.

Thanks for the reply everything noted! I dont think I will remove anything if anything set my EDGE back to stock then back to 3. Or I maye just run it as is and see if I can find a chart that has the stock stats or maybe compare to others here.

ThankS!

You can find a stock dyno chart on Hypertech.com

Remember when you change lvl's with the EDGE the adaptive strategy is erased. I dont think changing lvls would give you "true" numbers

I would also suggest that you get A/F readings while on the dyno.

My first programmer on my F150 was a Hypertech. Served the purpose I needed it for at that time
