Exclamation Long time Edge Owner,Recent Multiple Problems!

First and foremost hello to everyone.I have an 05 KR w/3.55/2wd/5.4/36,150miles. I was part of the initial group buy for the edge programer back in nov/dec 05. The last update I did to it was in april of 06 i believe.
Ive always set it up on Lvl 3, 1.60WoT, 5700RL,+1deg. to run 93oct. Shift firmness at 10. Everything was fine till yesterday.

A few weeks ago I posted on the king ranch forums that my trucked had gotten smoked in and that I was trying to get rid of the smell. It was also empty on gas and I went to the closest place being a Mobile station(not my preffered) and put in about 5gal of 93. Went home and it has since to this day sat there untouched. I drove the g35 since and got used to that. Well come yesterday and I figure its time to take the KR out. Well wouldn't you beleive the darn truck is 100% dead. No horn nor light nor anything. The battery drained, i'm not sure hw but I did not think it would drain completely in 3 weeks or so.

Regardless I went to the garage and got the trickle charger. As soon as I hooked it up the stock alarm went off and I scrambled to get the key fob out to quiet the truck up. I left her there for about 4hrs and I proceded to turn her on.
As the engine turned I could tell the battery did not seem at full capacity, it had slight hessitation, but it turned on.
First thing I noticed is that the edge turned on when I had put key forward but then dimmed in color when engine turned and went to a blank orange(my color) while the engine ran. I figured it might just be low voltage.

I unplugged it from the OBDII port and re-connected, problem solved, back on, said the hex code, perfect! it appeared all was well.

Not so, This all happened within seconds so Its been some time since ive sat in my truck with it running and I was used to the G now but something else struck me as odd.
The engine seemed to be shaking if you will. Not like shaking like its going to die but like a lil shake here and there constant. This did not go away. I did not feel comfortable with it so I put her back to stock mode because I hear that usual clears stuff up. Unfortunatly it did the same. I'f i step on the gas in park to 1.5-2k rpms I could still feel it but just a lil faster.

I thought that it might be bad gas but i'm not sure. People say you would a pinging sound? but I have flowmasters covering my hearing up. I also thought that it might just need time to learn its stradegy again but i'm not sure about that iether.

Also, when I filled up gas and going on highway I noticed when going 60-70mph that any minute, light tap or movement on gas pedal would make the truck sort of jerk forward, like a lil shake. never noticed that iether.??? torqe converter? transmission?edge??? I'm not sure.
BTW, this would not happen if in cruise control mode ?

What do you guys think this is?
What do you recommend I do?
Anybody with similar experiences?
Should I take to dealer and say this thing just fell apart right after warrenty????
I need a new batt most likley.

Regardless hopefully this can get resolved and I can get my truck straight and others with similar problems can get something out of this too.
Thanks!

P.S. Would anyone happen to know the size in MM for the stock 20's so I can adjust my tire size on edge? I just picked some up yesterday as well!

Thanks again!

Set your Edge back to stock and see if any of the problems still occur. If they don't, then reload the level 3 tune and see what happens.

I would return the tuner to stock and trickle charge the battery for about 24 hours to make sure it's up to full charge.

Drive it a few miles to check it out before reloading the program.

You may just have gotten some bad gas, and have a weak battery. Lord knows these things pull alot of power.

Good luck.

You should not reprogram UNTILL you get a new battery! The Edge needs a certian amount of voltage and if it dies while programming its gonna be a trip to the dealer for you. I would start troubleshootin, How new are your filters(Fuel Air)? Could be bad gas, mabey alot of water in it. How many miles you got on the Rig???

I would say it has nothing to do with the edge. Leaving a partially full tank of gas for long periods is not good thing.. condensation can happen in the tank an then you have water in the fuel. Did you fill the tank after all this?

Keep in mind, every time the battery dies or is disconnected, your Engine Control Module (ECM) loses it's adaptive programming. You need to drive through several complete cold to operating temp engine cycles for the adaptive adjustments to recalibrate. It is normal for a little vibration until the ECM re-adapts to your engine and driving style.

Hope this helps.

thanks guys, my truck has a hair over 36k on it.
When I first got the truck back it was nearly empty a few weeks ago and went to the nearest station(mobile) and pumped 5 gallons of their 93. I just noticed one of the window stickers expired........ I guess I need that too.

I will need to get the registration sticker out before I do any testing, I can't believe I forgot that
I was hoping that it was caused(the shaking) by the truck trying to re-learn everything. Hopefully thats it.

Btw, do yall know what the size is of the stock 20's for the edge programer? I'd do it myself but I dont have a mesuring tape. thanks!
