Problem opening the TP worksheets

Finally ordered the X-Cal 2 this afternoon and received the worksheets.

However, when I attempt to open them I get a "runtime error" and Word closes.

Anyone else experienced this? How to resolve it?

Thanks in advance!!

Yep and find the test version or sample version of .rar or whatever it is for free. I used that and was able to open the Troyer files and save them to my computer in word. I absolutely hate faxes so did the forms in word, printed, signed, scanned to .pdf and emailed back to Troyer.

Sweet! I sent mine in earlier this week so we'll have to compare notes in a few months. I get to sit and look at the AF1 they got to me already....like a tease. Crystal and Anita are on the ball.

Nice!!

What tunes did you order?

I went with 87 perf., 87 tow and 93 perf.

I guess I'm lucky in the AF1 dept., I got the 3" back in March and so I've been able to use it with no tuning.. I love it..

Same as you 87 tow and 87 and 93 performance. Good to hear about the AF1. I'm giving up on CAI's if this one doesn't impress me. How's the noise from the AF1? I ordered a CAI tube heat shield which I hope helps keep the tube cooler and not a waste of money. Additionally I'm think of lining the outside of the heat shield with Dynamat dynaliner to help with noise and added heat protection from the engine side and that dang hot radiator hose. I may even experiment with adding dynaliner to the underhood liner over the CAI as needed to again help with noise and sealing it off if needed (have to check how it fits first). I'm on a mission to get the CAI to live up to the C!

The sound from my AF1 is just sweet, at least for me.. when I stomp on it there's a "whoosh" of air being drawn in (from what I've read here that seems to freak some people out), there's what I can only describe as a nice V-8 growl to the engine that's not there with the stock intake. Throttle response is MUCH better, especially at higher rpm.

Once you reach cruisin' speed, any cruisin' speed, you can't hear it. It's only at idle or when accelerating, and like I say I like the sound from it.

The top of my heat sheild seems to just touch the underside of the hood, so that "seals" up just fine. Dynamat around the shield wouldn't be a bad idea though.

One thing to keep in mind about CAI's in general, the air being drawn in isn't spending a hell of a lot of time in whatever tube it comes with. It's not picking up much heat. It's more about the volume of air, the turbulance, the
ease that it flows.

I can tell ya from experience, even without tunes that AF1 makes a difference that I can feel.

Tex,

Thanks for the info. Yea I'm being **** about the intake noise and all before I've even tried it. I'll just put it on and tweak it from there if needed.

BLACKDOG, it seems you don't like the air noise from the CAI. Have you considered an enclosed unit such as Volant? It uses a special material, is sealed and ported on the lower front. I can only hear it when I am outside the truck and have someone rev the engine.

Charles, I'm a little worried the noise could be irritating but have some plans to try and mitigate that if needed. After making a poor choice the first time I bought a CAI (not just a noise issue), I poured over these websites and narrowed it down to S&B or AF1. The Volant looks well made too but considering the tunes I'm getting I felt the AF1 was the way to go. I already have a nice set up with the stock intake and pretty killer tunes so I've got options. In the end I think this will be a non issue. Even the other CAI I had was only irritating while towing. I didn't mind it otherwise. Thanks for the info.
