I'm Running Level 2 and I'm noticing a "stutter" when taking off from a dead stop, slowly. Kind of feels like the tranny is slipping. Talked to Edge and they recommended an update, but didn't have any other explanation.

Has anyone experienced this?

 

Did you VERIFY the hex code on the pcm is supported ?There is a 7/24/2007 update available. Apply that.
I would suggest you return the Edge to stock; disconnect the battery neg cable for 30 minutes,reconnect the cable and drive stock for a week. The pcm will be in "adaptive" learning mode . After a week,go to level 1 or 2.

 

How would I know if the hex code is supported?

Also, does the Edge go to 3.73 and you place it on 3.55 for gearing?
Edge told me to leave this alone since the trucks PCM is set to the factory gearing (unless you changed it). If you change it, it will be changing the gearing relative to the original si it may think that it is something like 3.10 from the original 3.55.

I am not sure how edge changes paramters but that what they said and it worked. Defing logic with Edge seems to be the norm I guess.

 

I'm running 3.73, so that's good. Thanks though. I still would like to know how to verify that my hex code is supported. And what it means if it is or isn't. It's going to suck if I have to drive stock for a week. This doesn't make sense.

 

That I couldn't tell you about. I have read the same thing several times but still can not find a 'supported' hex code chart/table.

 

So I updated the Edge with the latest firmware and software. Truck runs great in Level 2 (like it always has) but as soon as I try to customize Level 2 by changing the 3-4 Standard Shift Point by (-1), the tranny gets "confused' and starts slipping all over the place. Called Edge again today and they have no idea what's going on. I'm sending them my hex file tomorrow.
